Policies & Procedures
CANCELLATION POLICY –
A minimum 12 hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This applies to all reasons, including illness, car accidents, family emergencies, or other unexpected events. To keep this policy fair and consistent, no judgment calls will be made on individual situations. Without at least 12 hours notice, 100% percent of the appointment fee will be charged unless you have purchased Appointment Insurance.
ILLNESS
I will not work with anyone who is sick or showing symptoms of illness. If you are unsure whether you can attend your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss options that may help you avoid the cancellation fee.
In return, I will also provide at least 12 hours notice if I need to reschedule. If I must cancel within that 12 hour window, your appointment will be compensated.
APPOINTMENT INSURANCE –
For $50 the Appointment Insurance policy will cover all of your appointments against any 12 hour cancellation policy issues, including illness. Policy is valid until needed or for one year at which time you would purchase the policy again and the year coverage starts over. The Policy needs to be purchased before appointment.

APPOINTMENT DURATION –
Appointments will start and end at scheduled time. Please plan to arrive no more than 5-10 minutes before your start time. If late arrival is inevitable, your appointment will be shortened in order to keep on schedule with the original treatment fee charged.

CELL PHONES AND OTHER DEVICES –
Please silence all devices during your appointment. Don’t forget your wearables such as watches and what-nots. It’s OK to disconnect from our devices now and again. Please let me know if you need to keep a device active due to some type of emergency.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY –
I will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior, sexual requests, innuendos, jokes, gestures or suggestive comments. Any conduct that is in violation of this ZERO TOLERANCE policy will result in immediate termination of the session with full payment required. Local authorities will be contacted.

INSURANCE BILLING –
My office does not offer direct billing to insurance companies. I can provide a receipt for your session that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. You must verify with your insurance company that massage therapy is a covered benefit and follow their instructions for claim submission. Full payment is required at the time of your appointment.

GIFT CERTIFICATES –
Ben Stone Massage Therapy is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Gift certificates are nonrefundable, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash or used to purchase other gift certificates.
If the service price exceeds the gift certificate amount, the redeemer is responsible for the remaining balance. Gift certificates cannot be combined with any additional discounts, including discounted gift certificates, coupons, membership discounts, or special offers.
Gift certificates with an unused balance more than 24 months old will be assessed a dormant account fee of 5 dollars per month.

PAYMENTS –
All payments are due at or before the time of the appointment. First time Online bookings require full payment at the time of scheduling. There is a 4 dollar discount when you pay using options without processing fees, such as cash, check, Venmo, or similar no-fee methods.

INCLEMENT WEATHER –
The cancellation policy is not enforced for inclement weather. If hazardous weather is expected, I will contact you as early as possible to discuss options for your appointment. If you feel weather conditions make it unsafe to attend, please contact me as soon as possible so we can reschedule.
